Installing and activating PxPlus on Windows
1) Upgrade from ProvideX version x.xx to PxPLUS v10
You have a working ProvideX installation. Go to
[Start],[Configuration],[Software] and uninstall ProvideX.
Install PxPLUS v10 on the same location as ProvideX was installed. V10 will
re-use the ProvideX activation.
Start PxPLUS v10.
If an internet connection is active, v10 will
automatically fetch the correct keys.
If this doesn't happen, you can RUN "*plus/reg/net", to force to get the
correct keys.
This works only if EDIAS has informed PvxPLUS Technologies, that the
serialnumber has been upgraded to v10 PxPLUS.
If no internet connection is possible, go to step 3.
2) New installation of v10 PxPLUS.
You start without having a working activation.
From EDIAS, you received a temporary, 25-digit, primary and
secondary activation key.
Furthermore, there is a 16 digit ProvideX temporary key on the form.
The 16-digit key is printed on the form for those who buy PxPLUS, but want
to install ProvideX.
The 25-digit keys must be used to activate a PxPLUS licence.
Copy the 25-digit primary key to the clipboard and then start the v10
installer.
Install PxPLUS v10 en try to avoid C:\Program Files\ , but rather use C:\pxplus
or such.
After the installation, the activation program 'pxpwactv.exe' will start
automatically.
If not, go to step 3.
3) Activate PxPLUS
Copy the 25-digit primary key (from our e-mail or PDF file) to the
clipboard, if you didn't do this already.
Start 'pxpwactv.exe' (or click [Start],[All Programs],[PVX Plus
Technologies],[Activate PVX Plus Suite).
The 25-digit key will automatically be pasted.
Click the [Record Key] button
and check in the listbox if the new info is correct.(number of users,
serialnumber, base/pro/e-comm).
If the information is not correct, click the [Reset All] button and cancel
the program.
Repeat procedure 3 again. If still not correct, contact EDIAS.
The info is correct, so click [Done].
Start v10.
If there is an internet connection, v10 will retrieve the correct
v10 keys.
If this doesn't happen automatically, RUN "*plus/reg/net" to force to fetch
those keys.
If there is no internet connection, copy the 25-digit secondary key to the
clipboard and start 'pxpwactv.exe'. The 25-digit key will be pasted into the
key field, so you just have to click [Record Key].
Write down the 'System ID' and 'Class' (see lower left corner of the
activation window).
Click [Done].
Forward us the 'System ID' and 'Class' of your serial number.
You receive an
e-mail with the permanent 25-digit primary and secondary
key.
Repeat procedure 3, to enter those 2 keys.
